A homeowner in Lindale called after noticing a soft spot on their kitchen floor near the dishwasher. During the initial walk-through, standard visual inspection showed some discoloration along the baseboard and a slightly spongy feel underfoot. It looked manageable.
After the Matterport scan, the model revealed something the initial photos had not: the moisture pattern extended behind the cabinet run along the far wall, into a corner that had no visible access point. The scan showed the spatial relationship between the dishwasher, the cabinetry, and the wall cavity in a way that no single photograph could.
When we moved the cabinets to access that corner, we found the subfloor had been wet for considerably longer than the surface damage suggested. The Matterport record showed exactly what was found and where, before anything was removed.
