Corsicana, TX Disaster Restoration Services: Here When It Matters

Water damage, fire damage, mold. These situations do not wait for business hours, and neither do we. When something goes wrong in your Corsicana home or business, the first call matters. We answer every call directly, and we move.

Corsicana sits on deep Blackland Prairie clay, one of the most reactive soil types in Texas. When heavy rain arrives, that clay does not drain; it absorbs, expands, and pushes water toward foundations and beneath slabs before most homeowners realize anything is wrong. Navarro County averages over 42 inches of annual rainfall, and the 2024 FEMA major disaster declaration confirmed what residents here already know: this region floods. We follow ANSI/IICRC S500, S520, and S740 standards for water damage mitigation in Corsicana, mold remediation, and fire and smoke remediation.

Cantt Restoration responds to Corsicana from our Arp (Smith County, TX) headquarters. Drive time places us on-site within approximately 90 minutes of your call. We stay on the phone with you while we are in transit. When we arrive, we arrive with equipment and a plan.

What We Handle

Water Damage Mitigation in Corsicana

The primary risk in Navarro County is flooding driven by Blackland Prairie clay soil that expands when saturated and sends water toward foundations and under slabs rather than draining away. We respond to all damage types: storm flooding, burst pipes, appliance failures, smoke contamination, and microbial growth.

Water Damage Mitigation

Emergency water extraction, structural drying, moisture mapping, and dehumidification for Corsicana homes and businesses. We follow ANSI/IICRC S500 standards. Navarro County's Blackland Prairie clay creates rapid water intrusion during heavy rain events. Flooding can reach foundations and crawl spaces before it becomes visible inside. We respond fast to limit secondary damage and stop further loss.

Fire, Smoke & Mold Remediation Near Corsicana

Soot removal, smoke odor elimination, HEPA air filtration, and structural stabilization following ANSI/IICRC S740 standards. Corsicana's historic Carriage District contains homes built between 1846 and 1900. Structures of that era may contain materials requiring additional assessment before mitigation work begins. We assess thoroughly on arrival before any work proceeds.

Mold Remediation

Mold (what restoration professionals classify as microbial growth) is a documented secondary risk in Navarro County. With over 42 inches of annual rainfall and clay soils that hold moisture under slabs and in crawl spaces, homes here are vulnerable to microbial growth long after the visible water is gone. Older housing stock in Corsicana's historic neighborhoods is particularly susceptible. We follow ANSI/IICRC S520 standards. Containment, removal, and documentation included.

Asbestos & Lead Abatement

Corsicana's Carriage District and oil-era neighborhoods include homes and commercial structures built from the mid-1800s through the 1970s. Structures of this age range may contain asbestos in insulation and lead in paint, materials that require licensed abatement before mitigation work can proceed safely. We coordinate abatement through licensed, state-certified specialists and manage the process as your single point of contact.

About Corsicana, TX (Navarro County)

Corsicana is the county seat of Navarro County, with a population of approximately 25,800, located forty-five miles southeast of Dallas along Interstate Highway 45. The city holds a unique place in Texas history: on June 9, 1894, workers drilling for a city water supply struck oil at a depth of 1,027 feet, accidentally discovering what became the first commercial oilfield in Texas, pre-dating the famous Spindletop gusher by seven years. By 1900, more than 600 operating wells within the city limits were producing 800,000 barrels annually. That oil-era industrial expansion built a significant stock of worker housing and commercial structures that remain in use today, much of it now well over a century old.

Navarro County was included in the 2024 FEMA major disaster declaration (DR-4781) for severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding that began April 26, 2024. Navarro County was approved for the Individual Assistance program, qualifying residents to apply for federal disaster support. The county also appears in the Navarro County Hazard Mitigation Plan as one of the areas with documented exposure to flooding, expansive soils, and severe thunderstorms. Chambers Creek and Richland Creek, the two primary watercourses running through the county, have historically contributed to flooding in and around Corsicana during heavy rain events.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions: Restoration in Corsicana

Stop the source if safe to do so. Do not move anything. Call us immediately. We will walk you through what to do while our team is in transit. In Corsicana, the Blackland Prairie clay soil that surrounds most residential properties can direct standing water toward foundations and beneath slabs quickly. The sooner we arrive, the less secondary damage you face.

We are on-site in Corsicana within approximately 90 minutes of your call from our Arp headquarters. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. While you wait for our arrival, we stay on the phone with you and give you clear guidance on what to do and what not to touch.

Not necessarily, and we would encourage you not to throw anything away before we have had a chance to look at it. Our contents team can assess what is restorable versus what is not, and we have consistently saved homeowners items they assumed were total losses. This includes furniture, documents, electronics, clothing, artwork, and more. Call us before you move anything.

We work directly with your insurance company and can communicate with your adjuster throughout the mitigation process. For questions about your specific coverage, contact your agent or adjuster directly. We handle the documentation and coordination on our end.

Mitigation is the process of stopping damage, stabilizing the structure, removing moisture, soot, smoke, or microbial growth, and protecting the property from further loss. Cantt handles mitigation and remediation. Reconstruction (rebuilding walls, replacing flooring) is a separate scope of work performed by a general contractor. We will help you understand the distinction when we assess your property.

Mold (what restoration professionals classify as microbial growth) should be taken seriously and addressed promptly. We follow ANSI/IICRC S520 standards for mold remediation. The right response depends on the extent and type of growth. We assess this when we arrive. Call us and we will walk you through it.

No. Cantt Restoration is an independent company based in East Texas. Every team member is someone we hired and trained. When you call, you reach us directly, not a national dispatch center.

When you call us, we start documenting the loss immediately: photographs, moisture readings, scope of work, and a timeline of what was done. We share that documentation with your adjuster and are available to answer their questions throughout the process. We do not manage your claim, negotiate coverage, or act as a public adjuster. Those decisions remain between you, your adjuster, and your agent.
